Where is the Wilderness Road?

located at the American Legion Building, Tanyard Road, Rocky Mount.

 

No admission charge. Refreshments will be served.  Everyone is welcome!

 

Historian/Author Mary B. Kegley will discuss her newest book:  "Finding Their Way from the Great Road to the Wilderness Road 1745-1796".

 

Kegley has written 55 books. Most deal with aspects of her research both locally and abroad.  She has written scores of columns and more than 90 articles for various national and international historical publications.

 

Her current book was written following the controversial establishment of a migratory heritage route in Virginia called the Willderness Road for tourism purposes.
