TOWN OF ROCKY MOUNT PROPERTY TAXES AND AUTO DECALS PAYMENT EXTENDED
The Town of Rocky Mount property tax payment due date has been extended to April 30, 2010 before penalty and interest are added. Accordingly, the decal display due date has been changed from March 31, 2010 to April 30, 2010.
Tax bills have been mailed. If you have not received your tax ticket, please call the Finance Department.
Real Estate Tax and Personal Property Tax must be paid on or before April 30, 2010 to avoid penalty and interest. Personal Property Tax must be paid in full to obtain your 2010 decal.
Vehicle decals are on sale in the Finance Department and must be displayed by April 30, 2010. Auto decals are $25. Motorcycle decals are $18. Trailer decals are $20 and $25 depending on weight. The DMV registration is needed to qualify for the reduced weight.
You must bring your current vehicle registration if the vehicle is not listed on your tax ticket. Vehicle registration should show "Town of Rocky Mount" as garage designation.
