TOWN OF ROCKY MOUNT OFFICE AND STREET CLOSINGS FOR THURSDAY JULY 29th and FRIDAY JULY30th
In honor and memory of Vice Mayor & Fire Chief Posey Dillon and Firefighter Danny Altice, Town of Rocky Mount facilities will be closed as follows:
The Town of Rocky Mount MUNICIPAL BUILDING will be closed Thursday, July 29th at 4:00 p.m. and all day on Friday, July 30th to allow staff the opportunity to attend visitation and funeral services.
In addition, NORTH MAIN STREET from GRASSY HILL ROAD to STATE STREET (near the Angle Bridge) will be closed from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29th to accommodate traffic and parking for the visitation services which will take place at the Rocky Mount Fire Department that evening. Local residential and business traffic will be given access into the area up to the Emergency Services Building.
Those interested in sharing with us should know that the visitation and funeral services are as follows:
POSEY DILLON
Visitation: Thursday, July 29th at the Rocky Mount Fire Department located at 1250 North Main Street from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral: Friday, July 30th at Franklin Heights Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.
Interment: Hutchinson Family Cemetery - Glade Hill Baptist Church
Flora Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
WILLIAM "DANNY" ALTICE
Visitation: Thursday, July 29th at the Rocky Mount Fire Department located at 1250 North Main Street from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral: Friday, July 30th at Rocky Mount Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m.
Interment: Franklin Memorial Park
