-  Rocky Mount Center for  Arts, Inc. requesting Town of Rocky Mount to match a challenge grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts that they are applying for in the amount of $5,000.

 

B.  Review and Consideration of Request for Council's Input Regarding Town of Rocky Mount Extending Delaying Personal Property and Real Estate Tax Penalty Date

-  Requesting to delay personal property and real estate tax penalty date to April 30, 2010, and to not start charging a penalty until May 1, 2010.

 

C.  Review and Consideration of Request of Community Partnership for Revitalization (CPR) to Briefly Close Franklin Street

-  CPR requesting to briefly close Franklin Street in conjunction with their annual "Chug for the Jug" event that is scheduled for April 17, 2010.

 

D.  Review and Consideration of Approving Draft "Town of Rocky Mount  - Supplemental Appropriation Resolution for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2010" for the Rocky Mount Police Department - Bryne Justice Assistance Grant

-  Grant will be used for training, equipment, and grant review with no local match from the Town of Rocky Mount.

 

E.  Review and Consideration of Approving Draft "Town of Rocky Mount Supplemental Appropriation Resolution for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2010" for the Water Treatment Plant

- For constructed improvements in the fall of 2009 to improve the safety of citizens using the Blackwater River for recreational purposes at the Water Treatment Plant.

 

F.  Review and Consideration of Approving Draft "Town of Rocky Mount Supplemental Appropriation Resolution for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2010" for the '5 on Us' Campaign

-  Initiated to stimulate the local economy by providing $5 off cards to citizens to use in Town of Rocky Mount businesses whereby the merchants accept $5 off cards to citizens to use in Town of Rocky Mount businesses whereby the merchants accept the $5 off cards from their shoppers and redeems them at the Town of Rocky Mount offices.
