Mary Bethune Park

Mary Bethune ParkMary Bethune Park, on East Street, was donated to the Town of Rocky Mount by a group of African-American women in honor of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, famed educator, founder and namesake of Bethune-Cookman University.

Mary Bethune Park is a small neighborhood park at the cul-de-sac of East Street. The park houses a large picnic shelter, playground equipment, a walking track, restroom facilities and horseshoe pits.

Parking is available at the park and on East Street.

Picnic shelter rentals are available daily from April 1 - October 15. Contact the Town offices at 540-483-0907 for rental reservations.
