All accessory structures (storage building, garage, carport, etc.) require a zoning permit regardless of size to insure it meets setbacks and size requirements. Depending on the size of the structure, you may also need a building permit from the County of Franklin. Electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permits may also be required by the County depending upon what amenities are added to the structure.
