Rocky Mount Public Works will be doing an emergency repair on a sewer line on South Main Street between Orchard Avenue and Scuffling Hill Road on the south side of town. Work will begin on Tuesday, August 1st at 7:00 am and will continue all day and possibly into the evening. Traffic in this area will be reduced to one lane in each direction while repairs are being made. Normal traffic will resume as soon as repairs are complete to the sewer line and to the road. Please avoid this area if at all possible or utilize an alternate route.
